The high supply is due to high demand: the "flash drive" is a useful compact tool for quickly transferring information from one device to another and storing it, also often used as a bootable medium, almost replacing CD, DVD and Blu-Ray discs in many areas of application. The USB connector is present in almost any modern computer or laptop, so the flash drive can be found both in a student's bag and on an office worker's desk. This review focuses on Kingston's 8GB DataTraveler 100 G3 USB 3.0 drive. The flash drive comes in a blister pack. On the left on the front side there is a stylized logo of the company, on the right is the name of the drive. It also specifies the support for the USB 3.0 standard. The flash drive itself can be seen in the center, under transparent plastic. On the back side of the package, the Flash Disks 8gb re is various information - the address of the manufacturer's website and the legal address of the company, supported operating systems, etc. You can also find a protective sticker there, which is one of the confirmations that this product is not a fake. Unfortunately, I have not survived the packaging, so its photo was taken from open sources. The DataTraveler 100 G3 Series includes flash drives ranging from 8GB to 128GB. This month I also plan to review the 32GB model of this line, and today's review is devoted to the version with the minimum volume. Drive model: Kingston DataTraveler 100 G3 8 GB Compatibility: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, MacOS 10.6.x, Linux 2.6.x Optional: capless design, retractable connector, lanyard loop The body of the flash drive is made of matte fine-grained plastic, on the front side there is a model name and volume, as well as a glossy engraving of the company. There is no cap or cover, the body is sliding with automatic locking in extreme positions. There is a loop for a lace. On the back side is the name of the company. The dimensions of the drive are pretty standard for this type of device, although the width of 21 mm may prevent you from using the adjacent connector if they are located too close to each other on a laptop. The photo shows a similar problem. However, in order to connect a gamepad, mouse or keyboard with a standard 15 mm USB plug to the adjacent connector, there is plenty of room. To connect the Kingston DataTraveler 100 G3 to a PC, laptop or other device, you must pull out the plug and insert the drive into the port. After formatting, 7.30 GB is available to the user. This is due to the fact that manufacturers indicate the volume based on the ratio of 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes, and the operating system calculates according to the principle of 1 GB = 1,073,741,824 bytes. https://jiji.ug/kampala/accessories-and-supplies-for-electronics/flash-disks-8gb-9XNd6qQu3zwkt3P3uKGtCswS.html
