Chest and Deep Freezers in Dar es Salaam

Freezers and freezers: we preserve the harvest and ready meals Autumn is in the yard, which means it's time to think about how to process and store for the winter the harvest from the garden plot or just seasonal vegetables and fruits, which can now be purchased at reasonable prices. Let's not forget about mushrooms (of which there are many this year), and berries, as well as fishermen and hunters, who may also be faced with the need to quickly process and store a large amount of raw materials. At the same time, there are not so many options for preserving products for a long time. In addition to salting and canning, we essentially have two options at our disposal: either dehydrate (dry) or freeze. In today's review, we will talk about freezing - which devices and accessories are better to use, what are their differences, advantages and disadvantages. The most obvious (and most affordable) way to freeze food is to use the most common refrigerator that every home  Chest and Deep Freezers in Dar es Salaam has (more precisely, a freezer). Here it must be said right away that compact refrigerators, which can often be found in small apartments, often do not have a freezer, and therefore are not suitable for freezing food. We need a full-fledged refrigerator with a separate freezer! What parameters of the freezer are of interest to us in the first place? Of course, this is the “useful volume” declared by the manufacturer, as well as the “freezing power”. Here you need to understand that by “usable volume” the manufacturer means the full volume of the compartments, while the actual useful volume is guaranteed to be lower than the declared one. The difference can reach significant values, so if you are not sure how the declared and real useful volumes of freezers correlate, then buying a refrigerator “via the Internet” without seeing it live may turn out to be a bad idea. It is possible that you will find that the freezer was much smaller than you expected. As for the “freezing power” (aka “freezing capacity”), it is measured in kilograms per day (kg / day), and shows how much fresh food the device can cool to a temperature of -18 degrees during the day. This parameter is usually indicated on the information label, as well as in the instructions for the device. It is not recommended to exceed the recommended freezer load parameters. If you immediately put 5-6 kg of fresh food into the freezer, the freezing capacity of which is 3 kg per day, it will be difficult for the compressor to cope with the additional load. For a long time he will have to work at full capacity and almost non-stop. In the instructions, this indicator is often indicated by snowflakes, the number of which indicates the effectiveness of freezing. Some manufacturers simply indicate the freezing capacity in kg / day (such information can be found on a special information sticker on the back of the device or in the instructions). What to do if such information could not be found immediately? You can try to "calculate" it by indirect signs. So, for example, if a freezer is, in principle, capable of maintaining a sufficiently low temperature (−18 degrees and below), then it most likely does not have the smallest freezing capacity. It is believed that for an ordinary family of 3-4 people who regularly make purchases in the store, a refrigerator with a freezing capacity of 10 kg / day will be enough. If it is supposed to use the device for more serious loads, then, accordingly, it makes sense to consider more powerful refrigerators. At the same time, it is not recommended to significantly exceed the declared power: if too many products are placed in the freezer at a time, then on the one hand this will create an increased load on the compressor, which will have to work without interruption for a long time, and on the other hand, it will reduce the rate of freezing of products, which may affect their quality (and shelf life, respectively). A pleasant surprise for the consumer - in some cases, our tests showed that the actual freezing capacity of the refrigerator compartment turned out to be significantly higher than the declared one. It is possible that the manufacturer calculates the power based on some synthetic tests (and not in real conditions, as we do). As a result, when we start freezing bottled water during testing, we get better results. Beko RCNK335E20VW with 100 liters freezer and 7 kg/day freezing capacity. Finally, it will not be superfluous to recall the consumption of electricity. https://jiji.co.tz/dar-es-salaam/279-deep-freezers
